It’s weird to notice how a couple of chemical reactions in our body can produce something so profoundly beautiful.
It is a sin and a blessing to feel. To feel emotions. We think that our lives would be so much easier if we could just shut our feelings down, dump them in the darkest corner of the attic and just live our lives. It’s like eating your favorite dish when you have a cold.
Our lives are constantly affected by the way we think and feel. The way our day shapes out to be as we move along the linear path of life purely depends on the choices and decisions we make. The choices we make depends upon the state of mind we’re in.
We fall in love and we break our hearts. We vow to never fall in love again only to find someone that gets your neurons in a twist and we end up falling for them.
Anger, hatred, pride, ego, jealousy brews in all of us. We all want to be loved but none of us want to love. We discriminate people on the basis of what they feel.
When people of the same gender fall in love, we see it as a social flaw. We turn them towards religion with hopes that they would change.
We induce the fear of God in to their hearts with a warning that God does not accept those who love the same gender. But wasn’t God the one that created them? If God disproved their love, do you think he would have created them in the first place?
When we are okay with poverty, hunger and wars, why can’t we be okay with people trying to love each other?
We’re all trapped in this bubble of our own world. We’re so afraid that the bubble might break and the world outside fill start filling in through the void and suffocate us.
We smile for pictures when we’re bleeding inside. We call the people we hate as friends. We take oaths that have no meaning. We promise even when we know it will be broken. We breathe even when we want to die desperately.
We are all trying to feel in a world with no feelings.
